I posted last week about Arch going lame and the vet came out and took his shoe off and said his foot was sore where the shoe was pinching. The farrier came out and re-did the shoe.
That was on Wednesday. Arch then went sound Saturday, so I rode him over the weekend, just lightly walk and a little trot. Tacked him up last night ready to ride, put him on the lunge first and he's lame again!!!
Ive left a message with the vet to call me to discuss, but friend that was with me last night said she thinks it looks like its in his shoulder!

I just dont know what to do, I feel really fed up. Some one said to maybe get the Chiropractor out?

Get the shoe off and get your farrier to have a good old rumage round. Bet its' nothing more than some gravel brewing or perhaps the start of a corn.

Don't panic Mr Mannering!

obviously cant say without seeing the horse but from the description I would bet on a bruised heel/corn or pos an abcess forming, not much you can do except wait and see but dont be panicking yet! try tubbing the foot in epsom salts or if you live close enough 20 mins in the sea each day will help. fingers crossed!

After reading your last post and now this one I would seriously recommend getting the vet out and nerve blocking the foot to confirm it is definitely that area that is causing the lameness....from the symptoms you have mentioned i am inclined to think the nerve block will come back negative meaning it is not the foot but higher up. Won't name any names of what I think it might be (unless you want me to!) cos I could easily be overreacting. Good luck x

Hello any news? Sounds like another vet visit is in order. Vet can "prescribe" a chiropractor. Hope he's on the mend. Hugs for Archie and for you xxx

Old phrase used to be that if you think it's high up look in the foot.

So perhaps is an absess grumbling or a corn/bruising of some sort.
