Hi guys, just to update you, i had my boy freezemarked yesterday, and he was brill, i was dreading it as he is only 3 and is not keen on strangers and certainly has never seen clippers let alone had a long metal prod frozen onto his back! Anyhoo, he was great didn't move a muscle, in fact he did nothing but yawn all the way through, talk about laid back

Anyway she asked me his height so i got the stick out and had to do it about 3 times to triple check! He is 14.3hh, I was gobsmacked! He was only 14.1hh when i got him in September! Hope he doesn't get too tall as he is a chunk a monk and i am only 5ft3!

That's fantastic, so it didn't hurt him? that's good. Mine is micrchipped - did you go for freezemarking as it's more obvious and a greater deterrant against theft? I'm thinking of doing this.
 
aww bless him Yawning with the freezemarking... i have a grey so havent really looked at freezemarking... he is microchipped tho and very recognisable as him so ive discovered from randomers asking "is that flash?" hehe

Bless he is growing up then! you worry me tho with the im 5ft3 comment... ive got a 15hh MW cob and im only 5ft1 LOL

Thanks guys, yes R that is the exact reason why i went for a freezemark. I will get him chippes too in the new year, but wanted to get the mark done first. I wouls totally recommend a freezemark to anyone.

Freezemarking is done by a trained technician. Of course you can't put a saddle on it straight away, it's a wound and scabs over. You don't have to have it done under the saddle though. Ring Freezemark or Farmkey and they will send you info.
