We've had 2 clean nights (12 - 3 then 3 - 5.30) but we're still having the odd accident in the day but only when I'm distracted with one of the others and dont spot the warning signs he needs to go out.

Fizz had her first play with him today 🥰 and he's had his first little play with a tuggy today.

He's also working for part of his meals and is getting good at heelwork positions, sit, down, stand, spin in both directions, paw, nose touch and going around me. We tried a snuffle mat but after 2 or 3 bits of food it was for shaking 🤣🤣

On the whole he's a very good boy when he's asleep and wanting to use his brain when he's awake...be that to cause chaos or work with me.

So someone can go out from next week and I might have gone a bit mad on the collar front 🤣 Jack got one to match his Halloween one.

But whats his name!!!!!! 🤭 did I miss something, probably. Such a handsome little chap can never have too many collars to pose in. Love that last pic - the undecided ear carriage on your other little one.😍

He's starting to look less like a puppy and such a pleasure, granted with typical teething puppy velociraptor moments.

We've done busy town centres, a flyball competition, flyball training (just 3 recalls and some on lead sit/stand etc training around the other dogs plus playtime afterwards) and just takes it all in his stride. He's been to his first ring craft class but spent more time trying to play with his sister 🤣 so more work to do on his concentration.

I’m really take with him 😍. What are they like with other dogs generally and strangers? Are they (as a breed) barky?
They're generally fairly neutral with other dogs and people. He's keener on people but all we have with both is wanting to look and watch, he's not bothered about trying to go over but will willingly have a fuss if one is offered.

They are barky, I don't think he's worse than my previous Corgis though so doesnt bother me. We are working on his barking when separated from us in the house but he's slowly getting there but that's mostly just confidence.

He's now 5 months old (well as of 22/12).

He loves a tuggy and his toys, he's starting get the fun with retrieval games but typical Vallhund, will only repeat an action a handful of times so we change the game a lot. He also did amazingly well with temptation alley at our ringcraft Christmas party.

I have a long way to go with his ringcraft training, his first show is booked for the end of January 😱 It's my confidence which isn't great and he needs more exposure so we're off to a different club this month to wip us into shape.

He's been on a few pack walks with the flyball team and proved himself polite, respectful and easily recalled even when his siblings are way ahead with OH.

His lead manners need more work but that's me, I don't ask any of them for perfect heelwork but I've been lazy with him as we've been through a fear period. Back to school tomorrow! He really doesn't like when we separate on a walk (we normally walk OH to work in a morning but we have full vallhund tantrum when OH heads into work).

He's been to the beach, his first pub trip, settled in busy cafes and town centres and all in all is becoming an awesome young man. 1000095256.jpg1000095298.jpg1000095326.jpg1000095325.jpg1000095323.jpg1000095324.jpg

A little update since he just turned 7 months old.

His lead walking is 90% there, we only have pulling issues when we're with one of the others and he gets left behind. He's wonderful to have off lead with no running off or trying to great strange dogs. It's such a pleasure to walk him as he's so neutral and well balanced which with 2 reactive dogs in the house I was really worried about him picking up habits from them.

He's started some baby flyball work (just restrained recalls and picking up a dead ball and returning to me) which he loves. He's also tried Barn Hunt and enjoyed it.

He won his class at his first show and came 4th in the group. Our next is the breed show in April. Need to find some more ahead of trying to find a Crufts qualifier later in the year but they all seem to clash with other sports at the moment.

Being naughty is his favourite hobby, especially finding things to steal when he thinks you're not looking. IMG-20240224-WA0057.jpg

The chaos wombat is 1 today.....how he has made it to 1yo I'm not sure 🤣

He's been to a few more shows with mixed results. He let's himself down in the group movements, he doesn't do it at ringcraft or warming up so we need to work through it in the ring.

He's started doing some sports basics and he's loving it. We have a reliable wing wrap and he's started doing flyball foundations. Tuggy is life 🤣

He's just such a nice person out in the world and it's so refreshing with 2 reactive monsters. The only 'issue' is his barking....but we knew what we were in for as former corgi parents 🤣
