Would only be for the odd 3DE, mostly ODE's, fun rides (max 70miles!), hunting, hacks, and some Grade A showjumping.

hmm, what's the weight of the horse? and of the rider? i realise that an experienced rider will of course ride "lighter" than a beginner, but i still have slight reservations.

one good thing of course is that she will not need to use reins, and will be able to hold the bit rings with her fingers - which is of course absolutely ideal, avoiding any interference between the rider's hands and the horse's mouth.

Kerilli, I have to disagree with your comments about holding the bit rings with her fingers, surely she will want to hold on the ears and ride around jumping courses as if she is on a motorbike?! I think they stand an excellent chance of winning high level SJ & 3DE as obviously they will be developing their limboing (sp) skills

Too true!! Wouldn’t want to embarrass all of the expensive TB's! This ponio came from Beeston after all - the TB's might become suicidal if they got their asses kicked by a 'commoner'!!
