Took the horses to see the farrier today, Hemir is normally very good with the farrier but today he wouldn't pic his back legs up easily
The farrier said his sycotic (sp) nerve is still trapped (i think thats the translation, the nerve that runs through the spine and down the legs??) So anyway, he gave us the number of another osteopath that doesn't do anything other than that, mum is going to phone this afternoon....But farrier said it's best not to ride him even though our vet said I could
When he picked up his back leg i could tell he was in pain, his ears were back and he kept moving forward, my poor boy.
The farrier said that he was a lovely natured horse and although he was in pain he didn't do anything silly/kick out, then his wife came out and she started stroking his head and H licked her face
So still no riding, but i would rather he felt better than start riding too early and make it worse, i just feel like such a bad person that i didn't realise he was in pain earlier
He just kept on going, showing no signs of being in pain, but he must have been.
Please send healing vibes, as right now i'm very worried about him, he was such a happy boy yesterday and just seems really down today
Just been outside to get him out of the feed room (yes he can open the door....!!) was walking ok, just kept twitching his leg....
He now has Sudocream (sp) in between his back legs, as he seems to have been biten by loads of little things and now he's very sore and red under there
sorry about long post
