HGV MOT help please(also in CR)

My 1996 VW LT40,5 tonne truck is booked in for MOT this week.
We have carried out a pre inspection(DIY) and all seems Ok.
However,someone nicked the spare wheel and I am worried that this will cause a fail.
Does anyone know if this is the case?
Any other tips for a positive test result gratefully recieved by this 1st time lorry owner!

No, it will not fail for not having a spare. Stupidly though - if you had a spare that was bald - it would fail !!

NB 5 ton isn't HGV ) would be a lot more onerous if it were HGV, so that's good!

Thanks! It does seem that 7.5 and over is more of a minefield,but being over 3.5t it still has to go through the system.
My neighbour is taking it for its test(bless him) and I am going to download and sign a tacho exemption form(clause 4-I think-for carriage of own goods for private use.)
Just want to be sure I have everying covered(don't want lovely neighbour stranded miles from home if lorry fails!)
