HGV Test

Hi everyone

Im wondering if anyone can help me - I want to take my HGV test as im getting a lorry and cant drive 7.5 ton as with all the weight restrictions coming in soon i thought i might as well get an HGV !!

Well ive been told that you can get a grant meaning the training is only £500 instead of nearly £1500

Does anyone know how i can get information regarding this please

the only grant you can get is if you are in receipt of income support and have a letter stating from a transport company that you have a full time job once you have passed your hgv.

You need to get your provisional first-contact dvla for the application pack-you will need to do a medical with your doctor then send back to dvla.

You can take your theory test and hazard perception and then book up with a traning company.

You are looking at around £1000 for the whole process.

You need a letter from a company or recruitment agency stating they will offer you work once you have passed.
