My policy is due for renewal. After claiming for laminitis treatment this year it’s whacked up the premium quite a bit and excluded that and any related problems. He’s 17, 18 next year so assume we’re now on to a veteran policy with more exclusions.

I’ve noticed advertised quite widely is Harry hall insurance? Looking at this you get public liability, personal accident and vet injuries only for £1.5k. That combined with trailer insurance I would be paying half of what I pay at the moment. Thinking the other half could be put into an account for anything which is not covered.

Does this sound realistic? Has anyone had experience with Harry hall insurance? Am I missing something...

What does your veteran policy actually cover? If its similar to what is covered on HH external injury policy then it seems a good idea

On looking again the veteran policy with my insurance only covers £1k for vet injuries. Unsure if they automatically move you on to veteran policy or whether I need to change. At the moment I have £3.5k for illness and injury but unsure what is actually covered for that for that now realistically.

You will have to change to a veteran policy. It won’t be automatic.
