HHO Advert - Not showing, but being spammed!

Humm I placed an advert this morning

I still cannot find my advert via searching, and yet I've had my first spam!!

How did they find the advert???!

This is just to let you to know that i came across your advert on the
website and I'm very interested in buying it from you. I'll like you to kindly write back if you still have it

for sale and what is your final price? Also I'll really appreciate it
if you can send me some recent pictures. Meanwhile i live in England , but I will like you to know that I will personally take care of the shipping of the down to my location.

Worse than spam, that's a scam. Will try to send you too large a sum of money via a cheque. Will ask you to send a cheque back to him for the difference. Then bingo. The original cheque bounces. Delete it, don't reply.
 
SELLERS BEWARE

Beware of John.tom2011@gmail.com. Having recently placed an ad with Horse and Hound I recieved interest from the above individual before the advert had even appeared in the H&H requesting I cash a cheque and send him money.

He provided a non existant address of Upper House Farm, Bacton, 189, Hawley Green, Shawclough, England OL12 6ET with a contact phone number of 447024081829.

He has decined to call me back and I will not be contacyting the number in the event it is a premium call line.

Like previous sellers in H&H, I am curious to know how he obtained my details???
 
Oh ive had 6 of these in last 7 days with add on line and in H and H mag, very anoying but totaly false and spam, one even asked me to help him get 1.5million in bullion back from Iraq!!!!!!!! and he would buy my horse....!!!!!! I emailed back telling him I worked for the INLAND REV! not heard back yet LOL>>>
 
Hi, ive had three emails from this scam, it sounded like a scam so googled details and found this on here! very persistant so beware sent me exaclt same email!!!!!:eek: ive now blocked them as spam!

I've just been emailed by this person about my advert too, I knew it was a scam but thought i'd google the telephone number anyway and this thread came up... so beware peeps this person is still about and not bright enough to change their details.
