HHO comes to Cornwall? Your ideas please

So after my post below re: Shooting, it seems the random idea of a HHO Cornish Shooting get together is rather a good one!

Now is your opportunity to give ideas!

As you know my dad is Headkeeper on an Estate here. I’m going to speak to him about it tomorrow, but I’m sure he will be all up for the idea.

If you want to come down on the shoot on a Saturday then you could choose either the beating line or become a member of the Pickers up team.

So maybe we could make a weekend of it?

Travel down on a Friday, Shoot on the Saturday, maybe people who aren’t interested in the shooting could travel down for a Cornish HHO dog walk on the Sunday morning?

Obviously being so close to Christmas money and time could be an issue? It’s just an idea. Or of course there is January…

Count us in unless OH is already shooting (which is every other weekend from 7 November). We would rather beat, and will travel down that day. Obviously, if OH is shooting on the day you pick, we can come down on the Sunday instead!

We are shooting every saturday now til Christmas so should be able to work something out!

Be nice to get out and walk the dogs on the Sunday. Pub stop off for lunch a good idea??!

Either is good! You can pretty much put a tick aginst our names no matter what you decide to do, although we will come down and back in one day, can't do both, too many other animals to look after!

I will come down Friday night if I can kennel the dogs with you and stay in a B&B then come picking up if that's going to be OK with your Dad (tell him I think he looks lovely - that should clinch it!!

He would nick every shot bird and range far and wide flushing game and chasing it

My training has not yet been extensive

Well, I go out with my Ma and Pa on the 8th, then Otto will need at least one day out to see what he's like first, so it would probably be Dec time before we could do it.
Would be fab though, and I could smuggle Jake back
