Hi gang!

Phew, what a scorcher, I hope all your Mums and Dads have been giving you plenty of water today, I just can't stop drinking!
Big Mum says Small Mum couldn't stop drinking last night either, she must have been really thirsty.

Over here in Ireland it rains pretty much all the time so when it got sunny on Friday, all the humans were walking around without many clothes on and they have all turned pink, especially Small Mum's ginger pet, he is well funny looking. He is also covered in orange speckles, how odd!

This week I mostly tried to chase all the animals I could find on our walks. There was a bird who flew really close to the ground and I chased it for ages and ages.
Small Mum said it was 'pleasant' or something - she wasn't very pleasant to me when caught up with me eventually.
There was also one of those big rabbits (bears or something?!) and I even almost caught one of the horrible cats yesterday but it climbed up a tree. So unfair!

Yesterday Small Mum said she and her ginger pet and Auntie O went somewhere to drink beer and eat ice cream and look at hot boys in tractors. Apparently it is called an 'agricultural show'.

Today me, Big and Small Mums and my wee sister all went to training club. Usually Wee Sister doesn't come along, Small Mum says this is because she is 'special'.
I was super good this week but I am a bit annoyed because everyone cooed at Wee Sister (because she is a midget and she looks pretty) and our human grandad says she will make a great agility dog as she is small and bouncy.
He said I was 'improving every week' - pah, that means I must have been well crap when I started.

Small Mum was looking a bit green but she took me for agility. Because I am so big and strong and good at it I ran off and jumped stuff on my own while she ran after me calling me rude names and everyone laughed at her.

Then she went to do that silly showing stuff. I don't get it - when I am training I have to walk beside her and look up at her while she shouts 'heel' - but all the dogs who do showing are allowed to pull on the lead and walk miles in front - SO unfair.
But at least I got to check out all the hot babes - Small Mum was leading a gal called Izzi - she was well fit, phwoar!

Anyway I am getting all hot and bothered talking about that and I need another drink out of my water bowl.

I have been drinking lots too, so much so (to my shame!) I had an accident in the house

Those stupid tall ones didn't get out of bed quick enough and I was bursting

They took me to something call "Eventing" on Friday, The Small Tall one seemed very concerned that I might get off my lead (as if, it throttles me most of the time anyway!!) and made me wear a thing round my snout which I certainly couldn't get out of!!

Then we watched some of the big clumpy animals the Small Tall one seems to love so much (I don't get it, the one she fawns over the most is always pulling faces at me

) They were doing my favourite things though, running and jumping, so I might try and convince the Tall ones to let me have a go at it

Yesterday they had something called a Barbiecue, which seemed to invole lots of tasty things being eaten outside. I had great fun as there was plenty of things to be cleaned off the floor. I nearly caught them a chicken to eat, although they didn't seem to pleased about that and the Small one smacked my bum

Maybe she was mad as I only got a few feathers

Next time, though, that chicken is mine

It's always coming in MY garden, plus I have to wear a stupid lead all the time so I don't jump the fence and chase them

Today I went to my new favourite walk and the silly beggars tried to get me in swimming

I don't see them leaping in, it was all muddy and I couldn't see the bottom!! Plus the sides were very steep!

We saw some dogs doing it yesterday, daft things were chasing some stick or other, I told them there was lots of good smells in the bushes, but they didn't seem to care, odd creatures

The Small one was very pleased though as I didn't want to play with them and carried on with my walk, of course I didn't want to play with them, they didn't know about how fun Bramble Bashing is!!

I really enjoyed my walk, although I scared the small one as my tail had split again, except this time it had really bled and it was all over me, so she thought I had cut my sides!
It wasn't that funny though as I had to have it washed in the stingy stuff again, and the small one said something about The Vets again

I wonder what they'll chop off this time

Oh, and I saw a SNAKE today, although the Small one told the Big one (who screamed

) that it was a Slow Worm. I am still sure it was a cobra though, I've never seen a worm that big, and it looked pretty quick to me! The Big one kept jumping any time the bushes rustling after that, so I kept jumping out and making him jump, he is a right wuss!

Well I have had a very stressful week for a spaniel!!

It all started on Turesday when mum took me to the dog hotel - and I had my summer haircut!!

Now I don't really mind having a haircut 'cos I get really hot under my big curls BUT all my mates laugh at me when I get home to the farm as I smell of roses

....and we all know that any self respecting spaniel smells of muck heap, brook, dead things, hedges

......anyway I jumped out of the car and found a nice big dust patch to roll in!!

Mum was calling me lots of short names - mainly one that rhymed with cat and that she spends more on having my haircut than she does on her own!!! So as if the haircut wasn't bad enough on Wednesday I got taken to see the dog doctors. I have got a big lump on my chest and the dog doctor says he can make me all better - I quite like the dog doctor normally 'cos I get my own body weight in treats from them all as I'm so sweet and well behaved

- only they didn't have any treats this time

. Anyway Mum is now arranging a holiday from work - says it so she can look after me after my op - now I have had one of those before when I had my face lift - I know how to milk her for attention

. It'll be great lots of fuss and attention, some special food, maybe some treats - only thing I'm worried about is that the dog doctor said I would probably have a lampshade

- no idea what that is but it sounds like something else for my mates to laugh at

......also not keen on being kept out of the brook and off the muck heap for at least 2 weeks - who is going to eat all the hoof trimmings if I'm not on regular patrol??!!

Hello, Millie here

Well I have had a horrible day.....

What mum thought was a biscuit crumb on my lip turned out to be a blood sucking tick!!!

Mum held me while dad tried to tweezer it off.... but I was having none of that and nipped his finger...

So they swapped and mum had it gone in a jiffy

The kids then put it into a bug magnifier and spent ages counting its heads and legs etc

gross!!! If they had asked, I would have let them have it on their lips..... If they were that interested!!!

Tomorrow I am off to the hairdressers for my first ever haircut!!! I may get mum to post some before and after pics as I am sure to look stunning

Well I too have not had a good week

It was all going swimmingly with a bbq on saturday, and lots of walks. I met three labradors and we all ran round and round in circles until one of them knocked over one of the small humans it was with, then we had to calm down a bit!

Then I had one little nibble on the contents of the bin and the next thing you know I was at the vets, and the boss went off and left me!

Then I got sleepy and woke up with a very sore tummy indeed.

Am home now with the boss, but am hungry because I only got a piddly bit of scrambled egg for tea, and the boss is talking about me keeping clean and out of water for TWO WEEKS at least

Seems like a bit of an overreaction if you ask me
