Tomorrow (weather permitting) is the day...the day I walk my lad out in hand on the roads for a short distance and back following laminitis in August. I have been putting it off for over a month and been given the excuse with the snow but he now needs to get back to work.
Not overly lookng forward to it as he is going to be bold, excited, spooky etc etc but it has to be done eventually.
On vets instruction I plan to walk him 5 mins up the lane and then back in hand with his saddle on and then on Sunday, do the same but with me on him...god help me!
So fingers crossed I survive and his feet are ok with it too.
He has been down the lane and back before as I have to take him to my house for the farrier...but I am nervous about it nethertheless!
