I am still dithering. I know I have no chance to go proper shopping before Christmas. The nearest town is 30 miles away and I would have to drive in the dark which I hate. Mr M would have to take me and it is his least favourite thing to do so I don’t ask. All family stuff will be bought by my daughter or daughter in law. Anything I buy will have to be online which I hate as you can’t see/ feel the product.
I know you will all say go for it but I am so nervous of getting it completely wrong.

If you can e.g. knit, or bake, or maybe like Lottiepony (at least I think it's her) do a bit of wood burning, maybe there's something homemade you could do, and add to your gifts.
I'm in the opposite situation, I don't do any online shopping, so it all depends on what I happen/manage to find in the stores I visit. I'm also terrible at sleuthing, and often doesn't feel certain on who I've actually sent to until they post about it, so I really rely on the info I get in the SS recipient's "message".

By the way, my sleuthing skills is so epically terrible that the one year I received gifts from a HHO:er in France, I still didn't get who it was until they basically told me, and that's even though they were the only one participating from France that year. My sleuthing skills really are that bad, it's nothing personal, I just need really, really evident clues, like that they own an unusual horse/dog/cat breed, and that they've posted about that on HHO.

Anyhow, I think a lot of people are nervous, and worry about getting it all wrong (I'm one of them), but at the same time, the same persons are just happy over getting something they haven't bought themselves. E.g. if you join, and get me, you could just send me some Swizzels Parma Violets for me, toy balls to my cats, and something edible to Blomma, and I would be as happy as a pig in mud.

Thank you for replying.
err, I don’t knit, bake, sew crafty things or do pyro-thingy although I can mend a turnout rug.
err, sorry, who’s Blomma?
I’m still hesitating but considering

Blomma before the warmer weather started this year, and we found out that her inner thermostat doesn't work as good as it used to

And after I gave her a lion haircut which means she no longer have any problems with her inner thermostat

I used to have 3 Finnish Lapphunds, but Blomma's mum Jonna died last year, and her sister Beata 7 weeks after Jonna, so it's only 15 year old Blomma left. There was a Lapphund litter that I was interested in this year, but all 4 puppies where male, and I want a bitch, so that didn't lead to anything.
