HHO vibes needed for my mare please

I'm in need of your special good bibes please!

My mare has suddenly lost all the condition in her back legs. Last week she looked fine, this week she looks like she has been starved (I might add she eats a lot so definitely not starved)

Vets been this morning and taken bloods but his initial thought is her liver :-( hopefully its not but have to wait until Wednesday to get the results back.

My mare is 18 ex polo tb so she has had a good innings. I don't know anyone who has had problems with livers so can people tell me what treatments is or some experiences?

No experience of liver problems im afraid, but sending vibes for your horse and hope test results show something that can be treated succesfully!

I've always used Milk Thistle to help protect the liver (when giving Bute).

Just thought, a friend's horse had a liver issue. I'll try and get hold of her.

Sorry, I can't help with advice, but I'm sending vibes that you find out what is wrong and can get it put right. Eighteen is no age for a horse nowadays.

No experience of liver issues in horses, but in other animals the loss of condition doesn't just involve the back legs. Is there any chance she's picked up a pelvic injury? Whatever it is, positive vibes from me.

She has started to loose elsewhere but it's more noticeable as her back legs have caved in. She might have pelvis injury but isn't noticeable lame and have been free schooling her since I lost her rider with no worries

Ok had the results back! She has one raised enzyme with could either attribute to possible liver dysfunction or digestive dysfunction. No other signs for liver problems but could just have caught it early! I have to have her at rest for 2 weeks on just grass, hay or haylage and a cup of oil and re take bloods in 2 weeks

Well the vet is back out to retest and she was starting to look better! Well I thought she was......

In the last 4 days all the back end weight has gone again and we are back to where we started!

So worried for my poor mare
