With regards to condition and way of going, what can we improve on? Pics taken pretty much a year apart - last lot at dressage debut where he came 2nd!!!

Thanks

. Looks like he could do with a little bit of work!!!

CL - he looks fab! LBx

You are having a laugh yes? Improve on his condition and way of going?

Really!!! Why didn't you just put a post up saying 'Look at my gorgeous horse... how jealous are you all?????

I would have been the first to say 'I most certainly am and am now very ashamed of my lad who is going to be schooled to within an inch of his life tonight, not to mention groomed to perfection'

;-p

lol thank you, and thank you all. I really would like comments on his condition though, becasue to me he looks like he could be stronger behind. As for way of going, I think he is behind the vertical...!!!

Maybe I am being pinkikety though?! I am VERY proud of him though!

Well to be fair, I agree BUT they are small points and as you've just mentioned them are clearly well aware of what still needs to be done. No such thing as perfection and all that but for sure, he is lovely and so you should be proud of him.

You ever fancy a project, i've got a nice little grey lad who could do with a make over.

... and besides, you are far too slim and elegant

Seriously though, I agree with your own crits, but since you know what needs improving, that can be worked on.

How is your Mum?

Mum had a poor night but is better this afternoon and has been taking side steps on crutches!! Bless her! I cannot believe they got her up already!

Minkymoo - What horse do you have and where do you live!!!!

he looks in lovely condition and his back, rear end and neck certainly look to have muscled up.! i would carry on as you are and it will only get better.! what breed is he btw.?
only CC is as you say, he is more behind the vertical in the recent pics..
what a handsome lad.!!

Thanks he is a Rheinlander out of Accoed II - and was a complete bargain considering his breeding! I paid less than £2k for him : )

He is a gorgeous horse and he looks in great condition.

If you really want ideas though, he is behind the vertical and not really using his bum. Even though he is tracking up he is swinging it to catch up rather than placing it and pushing off from it. If I were you I would forget his head and just push him from behind and really really make him work that but, when he has done this he should stretch down into the contact on his own accord.

Hope this helps and again, really nice horse.

Is that you riding him in the dressage comp? doesn't look like you!!! Have to say he's looking gorge - even better than when we bumped into you out hacking!
