Briefly...lightweight rising 65, described as 'a neat little rider' (!!), came back to horses after a twelve year break. Bought a full up ID mare who grew...sold her on to a man as she was just too much for me - SO strong!! Bought a delightful little 7 yr old fine-boned, deep-chested, sweet-natured RoR who had been doing Cotswold Cup and dressage since leaving the track as a five year old. Within weeks began to develop probs and has now just returned from equine hosp with SI arthritis diagnosis as a consequence of old trauma to pelvis (asymmetric as a consequence), mild KS. He was fully vetted at purchase. So...injections and rehab will hopefully work or it's retirement or worse. Heart-breaking. A bit low about it all...and very much poorer in every way. Need cheering up!
