Hi Everyone
Hello from Melbourne, Australia!
I am currently in search of a jumping saddle for my draft cross.
Unfortunately, it seems in Australia it is hard to find a well made jumping saddle for the extra wide horses out there.
I am hoping I can get some insight from my compatriots across the ocean!
I have a 7 year old, 16.2hh, 1/4 Clydesdale cross TB. Is is the build of a solid WB or a ISH etc. Takes a Wide to XW gullet. He is slightly croup high which I have no experience in saddle fitting wise so any suggestions regarding that would be greatly appreciated also.
I have tried him in Albions/Prestige/Bates/Trainers/Pessoas etc. I liked the Albions as they seem to give him a good fit (Wide Gullet), I ride him in a Prestige Red Fox Royal borrowed off a friend and I love that for me but is too narrow at 33cm on him.
Seeing as our saddlery selection in Australia is far more selective then the wide range you guys get, I would love to hear some opinions of what you have found successful on your wide hard to fit steeds!
Thank you in advance
Emma
