Hi guys, My name is Antony and I could do with some advise please. I'm looking at moving into a new house and it has the following....
Tack room, open coal/rug store, hard standing and four loose boxes. Manége/sand paddock. Directly to the side of the property is a one acre paddock.

An additional 4.82 acres is available by separate negotiation and will be let on an annual grazing licence.

what could I charge to let this out per month just DIY though at the beginning hoping to learn as much about keeping horses as possible
Thanks guys.

Antony.

I would ask in a local FB horsey group, or post your location. 5 acres in Scotland would be very different to 5 acres inside the M25. And, if this is a genuine post (we get some odd first posts on here, especially when it's a man's name (which you may wish to remove when you add a location, we all tend to stay anonymous, except me lol) then there is a good deal of frustration with land owners who rent out and know nothing about horses. I would read up as much as you can on here, and in local FB groups as I say. The BHS offer horse owner courses which might be relevant. Others might have more ideas.

Cheers for the reply 👍
Its definitely a genuine post its just an idea at the min. we just fancy a lifestyle change. We have some basic knowledge of horse as my wife, mother in law and her sister have all kept Horses and ponies, her sister still has 2.
Its on a Lancashire Estate so its quite rural.
Anyway thanks for the reply.

With one acre? Nothing at all really.

Plus the additional acres? It depends what on what they cost.

I have 5-6 acres for £200 a month, no stables though as they’re in my garden, we have half an acre at home but we don’t graze it unless someone is on box rest.
