hi,just joined forum to ask what people think.iv put my mare up for sale 2 weeks ago and had 2 phone calls which never herd back from.i really need to sell her as iv got 3 horses and as much as i love her to bits shes the only one whats suitable to sell on.i dont understand why iv had no interest as shes a lovely horse and turns her hoof to anything iv got her up at 2700 ono which i think is the going rate from looking at other ads at the min.any advice/thoughts welcome
 
Have you put adds in your tack shop or in mags.
If you really need to sell her, then mabe put her out on loan with view to buy. Then someone can get to know her first. I don't think many horses are selling at the mo
 
at the moment its the wrong time to sell (1) currunt market (2) its coming up to winter
if you wanna sell quickly you will have to low asking price or put on loan with view to buy
ive had my 2 youngsters up for sale for a bout 2-3 months had a couple of people ring but didnt call back

iv had her advertised on various sites,just put her on horsemart and re newed her ad in the local paper so hopefully a little more interest.im new to selling horses but doesnt it cost alot to advertise! :eek:

Ummm, selling sites? Is your horse registered with any particular society? If so you could try advertising her there. Suitable as a PC or RC horse? Get in touch with your local club secretaries, they always know if people are on the lookout for horses. Get ads in every local feed/farm/tack store you can reach and tell everyone you see, Vet, Farrier etc word of mouth can sometimes throw up results.

If you really need to sell I think you also have to consider dropping the price enough, balance the price you will accept with the cost of keeping her for maybe months, especially if you are forking out for livery, upkeep soon adds up and you may as well take a realistic price now.

well.got someone interested,but it was a text at midnight lastnight? it just asked where abouts i was.do you think they are serious cos its kinda wrong time of night to be enquiring about a horse by text?
 
that probley why they texted you , i once had a woman text me regards to a job she was offering ,so it not uncommen for people to text late
