Hello, I thought that as I'm new (have lurked for quite some time however!) I'd share some pictures of my girl! I have other horses, but Pagoda is the most special to me.
She is an Elite Akhal-Teke broodmare (Sire: Gornostay, Dam: Palestinia), 160cm, and I have had her for 2 years.

She has bred one beautiful foal, Davinia, and is in foal to Samaddin.

Which isn't bad considering she was going to be PTS aged 4, looking like this...

She was very ill, so we brought her home from the veterinary center so that she could be PTS at her home, with all of her friends around. However, we didn't have to because as soon as she got home, she started perking up!

noooooo, more! more!

Gorgeous photos of them all. I have to say if anyone would have asked me about the breed before i would have said i wasn't very keen. But i've only ever seen them in books etc, so perhaps i am now open to conversion? She is very elegant looking which is probably what does it for me :)

I promise I'll keep posting, just not today :p

Really unusual looking, but very beautiful :)
And
Gorgeous :D
I'm in the mood to draw Akhal-Teke's now.... hmm, never drawn one before! They certainly are interestingly put together! Will have to give it a go I think :D
If you want to see unusual or strangely put together, you should see my old boy...

Beautiful horses, love the fluffy foal pic :) Does Pagoda have the champagne gene? Or if not what colour is she? I'm sure there must be a technical name for such a stunning colour :)

Pagoda's lovely - they are beautiful colours too. Looking forward to seing more photos of your horses.

Also, love Davinia's fluffy, floppy ears in the last pic of her! :D

Pagoda's sire is perlino ( Bay + 2 Cream genes), and dam is palomino (Chestnut + 1 Cream gene), that's as much as I know! The genetics of colours confuses me so much, as I've been told that she's palomino by some, but she has black hairs in her tail?!

Have to confess to not usually liking anything that doesn't have at least 20 inches of bone ;) but your horses really are beautiful! Are you in this country or abroad somewhere?

Helloo!

Beautiful horses! Thanks for sharing, a breed that has intrigued me from the start. Unfortunately, I can't ride something so fine considering I'm so errrr... coarse!!! :D:D:D
