I think BSL means that it took a lot of elbow grease to get his/her Mum's skewbald smart and clean for a days hunting, so never intended to own a skewbald or indeed a grey - but now has both.

Should have made myself clearer. Used to hunt with the east anglian blood hounds. Everyone had emaculate bays. We had a skewbald that slept very well at night, ie stank by the morning. When I was scrubbing him , I used to say "never again am I getting a horse with white hair".
Bit thick as I now have two. Love em go bits though.
