Hi there, I've recently joined the forum and thought I should say hello and introduce myself.

I'm a fairly new horse owner - bought my boy (first horse) last September and have had great fun getting to know him. We've had a few ups and downs (nasty fall before Christmas and more recently a splint) but we've dusted ourselves off and got back on track.

He's one of the family already - I'm most keen on building that bond further with him and getting out to some shows. We've done some local stuff where he's stabled so I guess I want to immerse myself further in the horsey world and learn more about shows and events and all the stuff that goes with it.

Hello. Welcome to the forum. Do you have any pics of your horse as we are all very nosey. What breed, etc is he?

You sound like a very decent person to have in the horse world

Any pictures of your horse?

Thanks Madam_Max.

Here you go! It's the only one I can find online. This was shortly before I bought him.

He's a cob, about 6 years old and a total mush!

Ooh hello everyone! You all popped up whilst I was composing my post with picture.

It's incredible how much your life changes when you get a horse - I knew it was going to be a huge commitment but I didn't have any idea that I'd practically live at the stables, by choice and want to spend every waking moment with him!

Your totally right, life does change when you have a horse. Over the years I have met some wonderful people, ridden places I would never have had access to (private land) and personally I feel life changes for the better.

I hope you enjoy the forum and meet lots of new friends.
