You guys have persuaded me I should be wearing hi vis so can someone tell me what I should be investing in.

I should add that I hate the look of the stuff so if it can be as fashion conscious as possible that would be lovely. ( I know that isn't what's supposed to be important but I'm more likely to wear it if it isn't utterly hideous!)

Thankies.

Have you got a sports direct near you?
I wear the karrimor stuff from there - it's more fitted than the "builder type" waistcoats as it's designed for running/cycling.

The waistcoats from equisafety are also nice, as is stuff from rockfish riders :)

I want one of those Mrs M!!

Are they likely to get the wearer into trouble though - I was thinking along the lines of "impersonating a police officer....."?

No. No where on that jacket does it say Police so you'll be fine :). And plus, I believe the police and the manufacturing company worked together to produce it :)

Thank you all guys. I don't mind if it isn't stylish if the brown horse is wearing it. Maybe I should just smother him that way I can wear loads :D

Do love the police style one though. Just for giggles I would wear that one!

ok. sorry to badger you all but you're all so helpful and knowledgeable, if I put either

on the big brown beasty would I be excused from wearing hi vis myself?

Personally I would say both hi viz you AND the horse. Should you become parted...then the horse would be able to be seen easily should it end up galloping home, and should you end up with a broken leg in a ditch somewhere (as happened to a friend of mine) you would also be found easier :) I actually only wear hi viz on myself, as I ride other people's horses so can't go out and buy a sheet....but when I get my own it will be hi viz all round :)

Equisafety, equafleece, v bandz, & spartan all do a lot for horse & rider but you can save a lot on rider wear by going to sports direct or somewear that sells hi viz work wear. I have a blouson style jacket that is lovely & warm with lots of pockets fgor £15 from the market. Defeinitely have hi viz on the as well. I currently use a jacket, hat cover & gloves for me. Horse has niose band cover, tail wrap & leg wraps. Equisafety exercise sheet & equafleece saddle cloth are on my christmas list.

Luna Rider jackets and waitcoats are really nice. Cant recommend a site but if you google the name Im sure it will bring somewhere up. Throstle Nest Saddlery at Barnsley do the range.

Def something for you and your horse! I have this jacket too ^^, love it, and it isn't massive and baggy like some, looks quite smart I think.
For horse stuff I like the equafleece exercise rugs and the equester stuff is really nice too.

Equafleece do a luverly quarter sheet in fleece! Just right to keep my boy's bottie nice & warm; plus they do a nice "Endurance" top which is lovely & warm. However, I do wish they'd put some decent reflective material on their stuff. The quarter sheet has it on, but their other fluourescent top doesn't, which is a shame!

I've got to order a dogs coat from them so perhaps as I'm contacting them I'll suggest it, as its something they might consider for the future.

I apologise for the awfull photo but this is me and my horse in his ultra-trendy flourescent green fleece bandages (well I think they are anyway)! They literally do glow they are so bright and I am forever getting comments about them (and they do seem to make people slow down!) I got them off ebay from America, they were a bit pricey but I think they are worth it. They are very well made in nice thick fleece so are good for schooling in too. I might be able to find the seller again if you are interested, pm me if you are.
