Ok, i have had enough of the cyclists in the forest scaring my horse! Two horrid people today were so inconsiderate of an already upset horse they caused her to rear up vertical going down a hill! TBH i have no idea how we both didnt fall and it scared me :S. Once we composed ourselves i did yell 'THANK YOU!' after them, they knew i was having issues, didnt even stop to look around!

So now, i have decided i need more hi vis, not just the standard tabbard that i wear. I need a new tabbard as mines a little moth-eaten now, and hi-viz for le pone. However, it all seems so expensive! I know there is not price on safety, but can anyone recommened an online site that does good hi vis at an affordable cost?

Here's a good deal on the V-bandz horse and rider set. :)

Definitely try ebay for hi viz bits and bobs, I've got lots of bargains off there and now look a bit like a christmas tree every time I go out!

The saddle pad is great but wont fit my saddle :( ive managed to get a really smart hi vis waist coat for £11, looking at stuff for dee now

I got my polite one for £13 from local feed merchants. Might make them look twice and slow down if they think you're a copper!
Definitely makes the cars round here give me a wide birth and slow right down. I always smile and say thankyou too! :)

I have a hi viz lanyard from equisafety (i think) form ebay, less than a tenner. Shires do good leg wraps for £5 a pair, i like them as they are okay alone or over boots as they are not thick.

Plus my mum crochet me a hi viz hat cover (it looks like a spider web :) )

It is a bit small but my bottom righ signature pic has lanyard and wraps on :)

I like my equisaftey exersize sheet. Its thin enough that for slow hacks in the summer it would be fine and in the winter I just put another one on under it when its really cold and we are going slowly.

its a dressage saddle but i need hi-wither numnahs as they rub dee otherwise.

I have been looking at hi viz exercise sheets but dee gets so warm when ridden they would make her sweat up. I have seen something which wraps around the bum of the horse (like a hi viz bumper :D )

i just bought a hi viz long sleeved showerproof runners jacket in sports direct for a £8.99http://www.sportsdirect.com/karrimor-hi-viz-run-jacket-ladies-456278

The parsons rug looks interesting :)

ive just bought one. it came through the door this morning! I paid £8 extra for more reflective tape to be attached onto the rump. its really well made and good for stopping my hairy cob from over heating.

I havent tested it out yet as its been snowing and blowing a gale. but will report back as soon as i do.
