Anyone got one of these? https://www.leonardcoombe.co.uk/products/hit-air-vest-pro In hi viz yellow?

Thinking about getting one for hacking?

I like it's not loose fitting and adjusts to go over winter coats and over teeshirts.

Yard rule to wear hi viz hacking so cover that.

Very expensive but I'd hope to wear every time hack for next 5 years.

My biggest fear hacking is one of my horses slipping / tripping on road.

I have a black hit air as I use it for competing too. I recently fell off on the road and walked away from the fall (don't think I've ever fallen off out hacking in my 30+ year riding career!). I hurt my elbow and my leg but my upper body was completely fine despite landing very hard off of a 17h horse!

Last year I had a similar fall onto a rubber surface and broke all my ribs on one side. Off a 14.2 and without an air jacket (I bought it due to that!).

So based on my personal study I can't recommend them highly enough. It didn't wind me either which some other makes do (just watch Badminton to see!).

I would definitely have a hi viz one if it was just for hacking. Money well spent.

thanks, I am tempted! I like the idea of Hi viz, else need to put tabard on top. But guess rules out every completing in distant future.

Currently I only want it for hacking, and wouldn't wear schooling / competing. But future young horse?

But I'd hope it would last a long time at the price.

Do you send yours off regularly for servicing? That sounds a bit of a hassle?

Thanks

Daughter has a black Hit Air and wears a hi viz jacket under it in the winter and a hi viz hoodie or t-shirt under it in the summer. Along with a hi viz hat band, quite visible.
