This case is being discussed on the Jeremy Vine show today after 12. In case you haven't seen previous threads about it, Bethany, who is now seriously brain damaged risks not getting a full compensation pay out due to not wearing hi viz on an unlit country road walking home in the dark after visiting the stables.

Yet another reason to be sure you wear hi viz at all times when walking or riding!

Too right!!

That article made my quite angry actually... it seems the parent(s) have assumed no responsibility for their 13 year old daughter walking down a dark country lane, unable to be seen by other road users but 'wants to be able to plan Bethany's future and our lives, give her what she needs and move on." - £3-£5 MILLION to pay for a 'specially addapted bungalow - WTF??! ...and the rest??!....

Then there is the mental anguish that poor driver is undoubtedly suffering having hit said unattended 13 year old on a dark country lane.... minding his own business on his way home from work... Poor Bloke!!

Why won't people take responsibility for their own safety!!

Is that on Jeremy Vine? His "discussion" show is not much better than Jeremy Kyle, they always drag out people with stupid/extreme views that drive you mad. Usually not worth listening to.
