Does anybody have a source for Hi Viz waistcoats/tabards with zip pockets? I have an equisafety I've had for years that's seen better days, but struggling to find anything with zip pockets rather than the silly flaps at a more reasonable price? Anybody come across anything cheap and cheerful? Thanks x

I’ve got this one and it’s really good. Adjustable too so if you’ve got a bigger/smaller coat on you can make it looser/tighter.

I think mines an Equisafety. I think having a pocket is essential, I put a little note in the side pockets of the exercise sheet saying:

"Hello, my name is Bailey, I might be a little scared but if you talk gently to me and stroke my neck I will try very hard to listen to you. If I am hurt ring the vet (number supplied) - it won't cost you anything. If my Mum is not with me she must be lying hurt somewhere, so please ring the police, her partners name and number is (number supplied). Thank you for helping us in our hour of need, love Bailey"

I hoped that if ever I had parted company and someone had found her wandering or injured they would read the note and seek help. Making it down to earth and sentimental helps.

I personally would not use the word my Mum. For a non horsey passer by, one isnt immediately clear whether the word Mum refers to a horse or owner or rider.

Well it wouldn't have been Baileys dam! Given that I went on to say 'ring her partner' I think the answers fairly obvious don't you? 🤣🤣

I think referring to a pet's owner as their "mum" is fairly commonplace. Anyway regardless of exactly how it's interpreted, the point is that they need to ring the phone number supplied. I'm sure it would do the job.
