Hi - what do you all think about this horse??

[ QUOTE ]
I saw the picture anf thought very nice, saw the price and thought wow that's rather cheap. Watched the video and thought umm, very down hill, shuffles and does not use herself. Could be for many reasons not all the end of the world but at least now I understand the price!
If you really like riding her and the temperament is right make sure you get a full 5 stage vetting done. I would also be interested to see her conformation stood up from front and back.

Good Luck.

I agree with this, regarding the way she moves etc. Could be many factors but worth a try perhaps!

I agree with katb, she is attractive however seems very green, she does not use herself properly seems to be inconsitant in the contact and goes like a youngster would.

On the plus she is a very nice type does look from her head a level type, however she does not look very well schooled.
I would not be overly worried about the weaving.

Sorry, riding in a riding school doesn't give you much experience in looking to see if a horse is working correctly.

I did think she was quite green, but just from her canter transitions. Thanks for pointing out the rest.

By something 'well-schooled', I loosely mean something that doesn't go around with it's head in the air, that has had some schooling experience and has established the basics with which I can work with. I think I would feel too much like an incompetent numpty on anything perfectly schooled

Dont know if this is the same horse- looks like it, (and looks like it is in the same school). But this one was advertised (& sold from what I understand) bout 4 months ago for less money if the comments are coorect.

Anyways thought you might like to see (you may have already seen it thought, lol)- shows her jumping etc, the user also has other videos of the horse which may be of interest

(IMO though she is a nice looking horse and reasonably priced)

Looks really nice but....I may be missing something here....it says early on in the ad "...happily pops a fence" but later on in the ad it says she has competed in SJ. Does 'popping' a fence mean something different to when I was younger?

It is the same horse, that video is available on her ad. There's also a video called "clear round" which is tiny and she doesn't jump clear.

I think she's a nice looking horse BUT with the background that is out there to be found, and the video evidence she really isn't first horse. Sorry.

I do hope you find something that you like and is suitable for you.

Gosh what a small world. After you posted that video Spirit, I looked through the other videos and realised it's a regular member's old horse who goes on the forum I am on. I can't believe that, out of all the horses..

So I have bucket loads of honest information about her.
