Just thought I'd say Hi :) I joined about 3 days ago but everythings been manic here. I'm Jorel, I've had horses all my life, currently have 3 (2 as of next saturday as sold my big boy today - totally heart wrenched, stupid university). A 16.3hh Shire x Tb called Murphy (just sold him), a 14hh Cob mare called Blue and her three month old foal Aiiro. It's nice to meet you all. (I should have done this the other day)

Hi Jorel,

Welcome, hope you enjoy the forum :)
It rather quiet these days, used to be so busy you couldn't keep up.
I've just had to sell one of mine and now have only the two in my signature, its not nice I know, but sometimes its a case of needs must :(

Yes it was a total needs must. He was bought as a horse for life, mum was going to keep him when i leave for uni but they had a big incident where two alsatians chased him down a steep bridleway and onto a busy road, twice on two seperate occasions in the same place. Completely knocked her to the point that she physically couldnt ride him so it wouldnt have been fair on him to stay. He's going to the most amazing woman we could have found though so very happy. And have convinced mum to perhaps let me take my littlies with me hehe :D

welcome, this is a great place, brilliant helpful people and abit of crack. sorry you had to sell your boy but just think you will have more time for your mare and her foal. are you keeping foal, also with uni its so hard to do it all. well have fun.

I actually only bought Blue because I wanted her foal and the dealer wouldn't let me have him at weaning because he wanted to take Blue to the sales. So yeh the plan is to keep him so I've got my finger's crossed he'll make 15hh's he looks like hes on track for about 15.2 at the moment so might be lucky. How do we do pics on here?

Hi Jorel *waves* if I tell you my horse is called Khan you'll know who I am ;) Glad to hear Murphy has found himself a lovely home, that's such good news.
:)

I tried her in a JP single jointed loose ring snaffle. (Borrowed) She seems to like the bit being still, didn't like any of ther french-links we tried, even though that was what she was wearing when I tried her, and she was fine then. Go figure, as they say. I may even move to an eggbutt to keep it even more still.
