Hiccups and a Broken Back - a bad combination!

reading the title made me cringe at the thought. I suspect bending over and drinking backwards from a glass of water is out of the question due to your back (that one always works for me) Apparently holding your breath helps, never managed it myself though, the hiccups always squeeze through hehe. Hope your back mends quickly!
 
So sorry mrs m but that made me feel so much better :D

Hold your breath for as long as possible then take a massive gulp of water, usually works for me :)
 
Tried and tested method...

Drink from a bottle (like a pop bottle but it doesn't have to be pop) keep drinking and when you think you can't drink any more, because you need a breath, keep drinking for another couple of mouthfuls....I guarantee the hiccups will be gone when you've finished!
 
I would say get someone to hide from you and then jump out and Shout 'BOO' to make you jump, can't imagine that would do your back much good though :eek: :eek:
 
Try taking a few short, sharp, shallow breaths, a few deep ones, then holding your breath for as long as you can. Works for me:)
