I put this in the members diary section as well, but no one really seems to look there!

Was just wondering Is anyone going, either competing or just going to watch? I would offer to help anyone, but I am not a perfectionist generally not a good quality if helping grooming wise

Would be nice to put some faces to names, I'm probably going thursday/friday and maybe sunday afternoon

Stan is there fri-sun inc so I'll be there.

Wish him luck (1.10m classes & derby on sun) Not sure which ring -I'd better have a check.

Fingers crossed for everyone else (except if you're in the same class!!!)

I was hoping to go and be groom for a friend, but I am on holiday quite gutted really.
Actually only going to wales but Might see if parents want to commute on the last day to the show

I'm jumping Weds, Fri, Sat and Sunday with both my two and my daughters doing the cross poes on Sat and Sunday.

I'd love a hand if you've got 1 free! my sister's coming with me but more as a baby sitter for the children than a groom so someone to hold a spare horse would be great. I can get you a pass as my sister has a trade stand.

Haywards Heath is pretty close I think - about 10 minutes away. I think I mean Haywards heath - or do I mean Burgess Hill. Hmm - I think both are relatively close!

Nah Haywards Heath isnt that far away! Hassocks or Burgess Hill are probably closest, but public transport to Hickstead isnt all that good i dont think!

Would think it was a taxi rather than public transport. However, I am sorely tempted - am in the ring at 10am on the Friday and I can get a train direct from Bedford to Haywards Heath - no M1/M25 on a Friday - sounds good to me!!!

Public transport to Hickstead is annoyingly non existant!! used to annoy the hell out of me before I learnt to drive. I am basing haywards heath trip on trip to car dealer there, so not certain on how far into haywards heath that was!

I wish they'd provide a bus from brighton station like brighton racecourse does!

Probably the best thing to do is a train then a bus to Sayers Common and it should literally be a walk no longer than 2 mins i would say!
However i would check bus timetables and not rely on me who has only ever been on about 2 buses in my life

FMM if it was saturday morning i'd have picked you up from HH station - however tomoro i have to be at work at 8am

Its never taken me more than 15minutes to get to Hickstead, but that doesnt include queing time to get in!

Yes you can get the number 100 (think thats right) bus from burgess hill station to sayers common (final destination is pulborough). Its only every hour though and can be a bit unreliable in my opinion

I am going tues evening to sunday. Taking both horses with me
smile.gif
Only jumping alisha there tho, she is entered in the 1.10 classes and the 1.15 on the last day
smile.gif
I am so excited, would be lovely to meet some other forum members

Will be there for the Hickstead Masters Semi Final over in the dressage section - well I won't be I will teaching year 10s all day
frown.gif
But the rest of Team Worried will be there. So if you fancy some dressage let me know and I will point you in the direction of Blitz

I'm jumping on the friday and saturday....1.10m's and the Novice Derby.

Wonder whether Bo will be in a co-operative mood or not on those days

National Express run from London Victoria, Gatwick and Brighton, stopping opposite near the stable field entrance. From there t's about a 10 minute walk to the main entrance - very much more geared to cars than pedestrians. Haywards Heath is about 7 miles and Burgess Hill 4 miles.
