Hickstead today

don't know how many of you saw dane rawlings idea to have a hybrid class at hickstead today. It was dressage with jumps!!!
They had invited riders (we watched tim stockdale-loveim!!, will funnell and lucinda fredericks) They had half pass/collected/extended canter, shoulder in etc plus they had to jump a course of jumps ( some of which were 1.50m

)
It was fab, great commentary explaining the test and movements and a bit of pi**taking of the riders.
Only prob was you either paid to see it or you stood in a tiny area 4 people deep and stood on tiptoe to see
well worth watching and hopefully somehting they will be doing again

not sure, could not see very well so did not stay to end but would have watched all of class if had somewhere to sit and watch properly

I read about that in the horse and hound sounds like fun, did Tims's horse do the dressage movements ok, I dont spose they practise things like half pass do they!!

they were pretty good according to the commentator - I have to admit to having no idea cos I don't know what I am doing with dressage. It all looked fab to me - LOL
