Am I right in thinking that Hickstead TV is now on ClipMyHorse and you have to pay £200+ annual subscription just to watch the Hickstead Derby meeting?
I can't seem to find a one off pass like they had for Badminton. Please correct me

Sign up for Hickstead TV which is free and you should be able to watch the action https://www.hickstead.tv/. Coverage is provided by CMH but free if you go via Hickstead TV. If you click for full screen you will be asked to join CMH and pay ( you can enlarge the screen just don't click for full screen ).

You can also see clips from last year for free.

Doesn't seem possible to do that this year. Such a shame

He certainly did! The fourth Whitaker to win.
Great class, the very first one in jumped a clear round, then had to wait through the whole class to see if there were any other clears. Good to see a couple of event riders tackling it.
I subscribe to CLM as I watch a lot on there, they were covering two rings at the Highland Show where my granddaughter was competing. I pay monthly and can cancel anytime.
Still think the beastly BBC should cover the big SJ events.

Thanks @Hearthooves for posting that link.

First time I've been able to see the Derby since the Beeb stopped broadcasting it - and I can no longer afford to go, nor for CMH. I'd been going to Hickstead since 1962, right at the early days. (I remember when the bank was in its original position where the double of water ditches is now).

Loved JL commentating from a rider's perspective. Very good class and many of the rounds showed that the course is still a challenge. Sad to see MW on the deck though.

Amazing that there were 4 clear rounds. Poor Shane Breen had time faults so only 3 through to the jump off. Has there ever been so many clears? Thought Robert was a tad lucky that everyone was whistling towards the end of his first round to get him to speed up so he didn’t get time faults and yet they didn’t for Shane.
Hope Michael is ok?
Huge well done to Alex Bragg the eventer jumping in his first Derby on his gorgeous grey mare.
JL is a legend and it’s a real treat to hear his commentary
