yes weve got members tickets too for sat, but be warned, friends went today WEAR WELLIES apparently its hideous. thanks to my mate whos taking me into the members enclosure.
 
YEp def take wellies, we are VERY close to hickstead and our fields are incredibly muddy, so would expect the same particulary with the smaller rings its always muddy round there!
 
I went today and it was horrendus! Wear wellies or you will get plastered.

Shopping is very poor this year was very very dissapointed. I did get a bargin hacking jacket but found nothing else there i liked.

I will have to tape sundays sj as im out but i will watch it.

I worked there today on a tradestand, it's like a bog & I got my van stuck for 1/2 an hour trying to get out to come home, enjoy!!!
 
Show rings were in a dreadful state at the end of today as we walked past the ground was like a ploughed field.

Ground is very very slippery and muddy so watch your step i dont think ive ever seen to much mud. You couldnt see the horses white boots as to get into the ring from warm up they had to wade though gloopy soup type mud.

I founds lots of the usual stands were not there inc townfields.

I went to the horsewear stand to get a rug and they hardly had any stock at all- why have an empty tradestand with loads of shelf space and only 6ft6+ in stock when they could have made a killing on light rugs of all sizes in this weather.
 
I went today and agree it's definitely welly weather. It was great fun all the same though and still well worth going, just make sure you've got your waterproofs. I didn't think it was all that muddy by the tradestands compared with how the events have been recently, it's just slippery rather than ankle deep.

I went today too!! I was in jeans and my ankle yard boots and it wasn't too bad. It is the wet slippery kind of mud and we did avoid the rings round the back but walking round the trade stands and main arena it was ok. If it rains anymore, however, it could be a different story.

I too was a bit disappointed with the shopping

Didn't get any bargains this year.

I might be going again tomorrow with a friend to watch the speed derby

Didn't see one. Are they the ones with the water running off the jods and the slogan shirts?? If so then no definitely didn't see them.
 
Ali is right splash clothing were not there this year. Lots of the requlars where not there- i wanted some items from townfields ( they were on the list to go ) but they only took the little horseware stand and that was empty.

Many of the good shops were absent.

The more it gets walked on the worse it will get and its was bad enough yesterday- sunday will be awful esp if we get anymore rain!.
