Can they get them?
Id heard not, but they get something called thumps which is where muscle goes into spasm but its serious if they do!?
My horse had hicups tonight for a good half hour or so and he does get them frequently... brain working overtime here so bear with me.
He went to newmarket vets april for a scope, head and chest xray for bilateral discharge and a eye that weaped from the same side. Both of which refused to clear despite 2 courses of antibiotics. (and the occassional EIPH and unexplained epitaxis) These and the swabs they took were inconclusive and it was deemed there was not a problem other that COPD (despine being on easibed and soaked/steamed hay.) Changed bedding to shredded newspaper, soak all hay and turned out every day yet he is still producing bilateral discharge.
Could it be a chance the hicups and this are linked!!
