Oh blush, my jumping position is soo awful. My lower leg will not stay on the girth and as much as I try it has a mind of its own. To be fair, Fly is not the easiest horse and this is the highest I have EVER jumped (3ft 9"), but excuses alone how can I teach myself to get a better style?

push your feet forwards, then stick your arse out and fold from your hips, pushing your hands towards his ears (not too much tho!), along his neck xx

Don't let it stress you out, just makes it worse! Each time you jump, focus on one thing and try and improve and retain that every session

How about those equilibrium straps on to the girth - can you jump in them? Hold your leg around the girth in the correct position?

I've seen a lot worse in this week's copy of H&H!!! Some of those riders are right up their animal's neck; at least you're still 'with ' your horse. Your style is similar to that of some jump jockeys jumping hurdles; it really isn't too bad, so don't worry too much about it.
