I prefer Hifi Lite - just because i prefer it being plainer. I supplement with a balancer anyway so I don't need the pellets in the Happy Hoof. Also a bag of hifi lite fills 2 bins and then a bit - it goes miles!!!

Hi Fi Lite, mine gets a smidgen with her balancer and supps, it lasts ages

Happy Hoof is ment as a total feed because it includes vit and mins, but you have to feed a lot of it to give them their required daily amount and the bag wouldn't last very long.

Unless your horse is fussy i would just stick with the Hi Hi Lite

I also prefer hifi lite- nice and simple, I don't need the pellets, jsut add some vits and mins and I'm good to go. Also agree with it lasting ages- I bought a bag in January and have just bought a new bag now, I do only feed a scoop but that's still very good value!

Happy hoof is quite dry and dusty I think, I would choose between hifi lite and Healthy Hooves (moist and nutty). Even fed at quite low levels theres useful amounts of biotin and my horses turn their noses up at hifilite but go mad for Healthy Hooves. Its a Dengie one, turquoise bag. Big chap used to have Blue chip but does better on Healthy Hooves esp now his shoes are off.

Mine got bored with hi light and refused to eat it in the end and that is saying something for him sorry put spanner in the work i prefer safe and sound

Agree with traceyann, out of my five horses four are on asfe and sound and one hates it, so he is on hifi lite!! Fussy boy but he refused to eat the s&s point blank. I feed blue chip balancer to all, but that is expensive. So you really ought to feed a good value vitamin and mineral additive.

Another one for Dengie Healthy Hooves here :) cheaper than Spillers Happy Hoof and seems to do really well, our girls love it.
Mixed with a bit of garlic, spearmint, seaweed, Cortaflex for one of them, Cushy Life for another and water and they go mad for their feed :)

Is it bad I have never thought Bout a balancer? Mine just have mineral lick, out 24/7.

No, I have the same setup as you. :)

Also, having just bought a bag of Hifi Lite for the first time, I'm really happy with it. Have tried Safe and Sound and Happy Hoof with the ponies in the past but Hifi Lite seems to be really palatable and goes a long way.
