HIFI v ALFA-A - help!

I have recently swapped my horse from hifi original to Alfa a. She has been a lot more spooky when hacking out recently and i wondered if this is because Alfa a is much more heating or weather it is due to the weather and not being able to ride much. So please can anyone advise me if Alfa A would be more heating/more energy than Hifi. Thanks

Alpha-A has more energy, assuming you are feeding alpha-a original from Dengie it has 10mj/kg compared to only 8mj/kg for hi-fi original from Dengie.

The Alpha A Lite is supposed to be less molassed therefore less energy giving, may be worth changing to that one.

Some horses can react to Alfa-a. It is higher in sugar and energy. You could try the alfa lite or mollasses free which should have a slightly less heating effect.

Alfa A sent my mare loopy although I know of many others who dont have a problem with it.

If there was no specific reason you changed then I would go back to the hi-fi

Haven't fed Alfa A, but isn't it for a horse doing quite a lot of work? If only doing a little bit go back to Hi Fi.
