High impact resistant stable wall lining. Rubber, Stokboard?

I'd be grateful for any practical experiences with what to use on my stable walls, or at least one stable. Briefly I have a two year old here at the moment who has decided that she has a temper. When the notion takes her that she has had enough of being in or that her feed isn't arriving quite as fast as she'd wish, she backs up to the walls and belts them, hard.
Her stable is lined with Stirling board and with a few minor dents has withstood 20 years of wear, now the walls are literally full of holes.

So, I could reline with plywood, or thought about Stokboard, and this morning contemplated rubber on a roll, or wall mats, but it is all very much a question of cost as well as efficiency.

Anyone ever used any of the above?
 
One of my horses kicks the wall, luckily, always in the same place. I put a thick cow mat on the wall, this absorbs the impact so prevents him injuring himself. It also deadens the sound so well that he is so disappointed he hardly bothers any more!

Rubber mats could be your best bet, especially if this horse is not with you long term, you can always take them down afterwards and use them on the floor.
 
Stable mats are so heavy and would be difficult to fit but cow mats, although nice and thick, are very lightweight and easy to move around, I get them from Mole Valley Farmers.
 
Equimats are brilliant! very light but quite thick. We have a horse on our yard who does exactly the same as your horse so he has them on the walls and my mare kicks the door so we have on on the back of it to protect her front legs and deaden the noise!

Really helpful company and they are light enough that one person could put them up on their own. They have withstood 4 years of irish Draught temper and believe me he has one hell of a boot in him.

Highly recommended.
 
Thanks all, have seen some EVA on Amazon, on offer, which I may persue,meanwhile am going to ring some local companies from Yellow pages and see what they have to offer. I really didn't want to be spending upwards of £200 on this as it really doesn't warrant it and OH is not thrilled about it either ;)
