I bought a 4yo cob from a dealer local to me last year, he had come from High Meadows Farm a couple of weeks earlier. He is lovely and exactly as described but green as I would expect for a horse that age. My vet remarked how well behaved and well started he was during the vetting. If I was the sort of person who was brave enough to buy unseen I would defiantly buy from HMF. I follow them on FB now, they have some lovely cobs.

Sorry, can't help with a vet that way but if you already have a vet you could try asking them, they might know who to ask/avoid!

He looks a sweetie. I'm surprised he hasn't sold, maybe some people think he's a bit small at 15 hands but my old boy is 15 hands and a perfect height for me at 5'6". The new one was 15.2 when I last measured and probably still growing:rolleyes:. I would prefer to be a bit nearer the ground with my advancing years!

I don't use this practice but I haven't heard anything bad about them and have met people who use them. They aren't that far away from where your seller is located.

I have used this vet and think she's good but she is a bit further away, however the website says she will travel for vettings.

The horses he sells are what it says on the tin so to speak, but they are always very green so don’t expect them to come ready for the ring. He is good at making them look more educated than they are and he’s a very confident rider but in lesser ability hands the horses (like every young green horse) get overwhelmed. I know one who in good hands is a horse that takes your breath away, but in numpty hands would need a bullet. As long as you know your own ability you’ll get a good horse from him.
