High redworm count

I wormed in February for encysted redworm using Panacur 5 day. I have just done a worm count and she has come back as high for redworm. Im now very worried as thought the panacur 5 day was for redworm?!

Panacur five day is used for encysted red worm but there is some resistance to it, I can't remember where I read it but just recently read something about quite high resistance in the south.

I would use Equest.

I would use Equest.

Yep equest is the only other wormer for encysted red worm.

Equest weirdly didn't do much for my horse this year it appears after his worm count it appeared. I use my vets for worm counts, they advised me to use Strongid P instead. Just done 13 weekly worm count and it's 0 again - yay!

Speak to your vets as they'll no resistance in the area etc
