Just an observation really as the nights are drawing in and there have been a few high viz rant threads lately. I was walking home the other day at dusk and got over taken by about 20 runners all wearing high viz. They were all running on the pavement so not in danger from cars but were all wonderfully visible. Personally I think the running high viz is quite flattering and pretty.
Anyway my question is why do runners find it so easy to kit themselves out in high viz for an evening and yet riders seem to find it more difficult but IMHO are much more likely to get hurt? Or are there other factors at work that I am not thinking of here?
