High Viz Riding Gear - do you wear it?

Do i wear Hi-Viz? Yes absolutely without exception!. I put my hat on, I put my tabard on.

In winter I wear a lot more too, quarter sheet, bridle straps, hat band etc etc. I have no road riding to do now either. It really is a pet hate with me that people won't wear it. It costs very little and takes no more effort to put on. It annoys me that people I ride out with won't wear it and I feel they actually put me and my horse at risk too.

I wear it in order to be seen more easily, even if I fell off someone might find me easier than laying there in my black joddies and dark coloured top.

When GM and I go out she has all her 'pink' on too

I never hack without it, whatever the weather/visibility. However, what irritates me is riders wearing a tabard but no hi-viz on their horse, what happens if you ever part company?

Always use it, tabard and hat cover on rider, leg bands on horse.

Yep both me and my daughter wear tabards. Last year my daughter had a close call with a driver coming fast around a corner on a country road, he just had time to swerve and end up in the ditch. He cleared my daughters pony by about 3 feet! If she hadnt of been wearing a tabard would he have seen her in time - who knows, but not willing to take the chance.

Only just seen this thread, but yesterday was the 5th anniversary of me losing my gorgeous pony that I'd had for 17 years (in my siggie, left). It was a lovely, bright, sunny summers day, we had light clothes on and reflective bands on the horses' legs, but a taxi hit her from behind with his wing (into her quarter). She had punctured an artery so bled to death. I don't know if we'd have been wearing tabards it would have made a difference, but it's not a question I EVER want to ask myself again, so I always wear a tabbard, hat band and hi-vis leg wraps/ boots & martingale on my horse. TBH most people in our area wear hi-vis so maybe Ty-bo, you should start off the trend?! Believe me, you would not give a s**t about how you looked if you had been through what I did.
