Not as much as I used to - wrote off a Gatehouse HS1 hat and was in not inconsiderable pain for about 2 weeks, then did most of Monmouth novice XC at a SJ canter due to extreme fear on my part LOL! Never hurt myself that much falling off before, even when the mad mare went over backwards with me!

Highs:

My first 'title' - Petplan Novice Open National Champion 2007
grin.gif
grin.gif
(with Bloss)
World Class Equine Pathway selection day with Archie
Bloss taking first time and now happily in foal
82% in YH Class with Archie, highest mark of the day and lovely write up in H&H

All the times Archie has been a total little git with me

Winning and being placed 3rd on a dressage of 30 at two one day events, actually completing a sjing round (wa doubtful at beginning of season!!)

Lows

Goddy being lame at end of season, being elim at events at beginning of season in the SJing!

OOOOOOOOOOOOO but you still carry on, but it does teach you to apply super glue at bit thicker
wink.gif
wink.gif
wink.gif
, but i'm sure we all have got t-shirt collection on unavoidable visits to the ground, i defo have
tongue.gif

I blooming finished the course at the time too! (once we'd caught him and I'd convinced the medics to let me!) It really was unavoidable - I posted the video of it on here as LEC was filming me!
grin.gif

Highs with Lou - winning our last 4 elementary's and qualifying for the regionals, exceeding my expectations in our first medium and getting our first little mention in H&H (also all the great stuff Katie books for us like x country clinics, etc) High with Eric getting 67% in a novice test, thought it would be a long time before he was calm and consistent enough to achieve a score like that.
Have been very lucky with low points, no serious ones just the usual feeling like the world is going to end if I feel like i haven't ridden well haha. But overall this year has definitely been a high for me with great horses to ride and compete that I absolutely love riding and spending time with
smile.gif

This could be interesting!!! As per usual I have had nothing but LOWS really or that is how it feels!!
frown.gif

Start with the highs inc pic!
grin.gif

Lows

Connor fractured his cheekbone - then due to bolshy ness went which was a real shame as he was a lovely horse just to much of him.
Spider eliminated XC at Tweseldown at number 1 - cue tears!
frown.gif

Mac went - still miss him
frown.gif

Fell off at Little Downham to finish the season off poop
Broke my collar bone at LG clinic so didnt even get to do my 2nd lesson

Tinto:

Highs - Getting his BE novice clears to qualify for a 2 day. Recently jumping his second Foxhunter and coming 3rd
laugh.gif
And him just being his usual superstar self!
Lows - Landing oddly on a big trakhener at the second novice of the year which then scared him a bit for a few after (got eliminated at the trakhener at Scone and had a crap round at Burgie International which just wasnt like him!). Luckily back on track
laugh.gif
But thoroughly peed off at our last novice of the year - Wee Burgie where he put in a fantastic double clear, only to then find out that Id jumped the wrong part of a corner due to HORRIFIC (IMO) flagging so TE!!

Shadow:

Highs - Getting clear round his very first BE Intro! AND without the most time penalties in the class! AND the fact that he finally seems to be growing up! And his ride-ability show jumping has improved greatly.
Lows - Him practically destroying the trailer on 2 occassions. Behaved horrifically at his first Intro (aboves high!) as Id taken another horse with him so he reared up quite a few times whilst tied at the trailer getting his hoof caught on the wheel arch, cutting himself and scraping it. As well as smashing a tail light. The second time was IN the trailer. We hadn't had a "lets jump over the breast bar" incident for about 2 years however I stupidly offered to take a friends horse to a lesson with him, dropped the horse off and carried on. He instantly lept over the bar - took 3 of us to eventually get his entire body weight off the bar and get him out
frown.gif

High's every lesson we are seeing am improvement in Miss Attitude, started XC this year and a little green but loving it.
Lows - throwing her toys out of her pram when in the ring and being eliminated or adding stupid time penalties on the XC cause she is again throwing her toys out. 2008 may be will be our year???

cool.gif

Highs - Getting Dolly and having a few shows of fun and success.

Lows - realising that I had been sold an absolute cripple and doing nothing at all for the rest of the year.

Highs:
Qualifying for the BD Winter 2009 Regionals.
Totally thrashing my 66% dressage mark (72.3% is the best so far
grin.gif
)
Being placed in top three at most of the competitions this year.

Lows:
Losing my 5 year old following cronic lameness issues
frown.gif

Other than the one major blow at the beginning of this year, I seem to have finally stopped having the worst possible luck all the time. (Touch wood it doesn't change now I've said that.
blush.gif
)

Highs:

Going PN (!!!) when I thought I would be stuck at Intro for ever

Going XC at Sapey (except for our little problem at the water...), West Wilts, and Monmouth - esp the last one - Josh is SO AWESOME, I just love him

This year lots of highs[worry because life is cruel]
1] Rafi, Winning Spillers comb training qualifier but then he was badly injured just before champs and had not had a chance to practice jumping [he was only 4] so had a few sticky moments around the course but nice to finish.

2] Penfold qualifying for intro regionals but then dressage became very tense and his sj became a nightmare.Luckily I met Partoow on here and Tempi told me about global herbs and Horse mag gave me a lesson with Steven Smith and he came 2nd at regional and 6th in championship. Then trying a novice at Gatcombe and just one sj down.

3]Rafi qualifying for so many dressage regionals and championships and winning his arena at BRC champs coming 4th at DTM BRC champs.Even though I forgot my test and had a paddy about it.LOL

This year has been our best ever and so much to look forward to.Watch out though just as you are enjoying life it catches you out

Pants season really...
Highs - Having a wonderful day at Goring Heath OPN and absolutley flying round the course (dont ask about the dressage!)

Horse being lame for a while
Weather and event cancellations
and finally- breaking my leg last week so wont be riding for 4 months

hmmm...heres hoping things go a bit better next year!
