My 12 year old JRT has been diagnosed with senility and it has been suggested that I change her food to this one, she is on Chappie at the moment as it is about the only food that doesn't give her the runs. Obvioulsy I will change her over slowly but she didn't get on very well with the Hills adult that I tried feeding her a few years ago.

Anybody got any ideas on what I can feed a slightly bonkers JRT that is gentle on the stomach and contains some antioxidants? She has also just been put on Vivitonin for the senility so I don't want too many changes at once.

Great if you could find out the dose, would I be ok to buy the tablets marketed for humans or would I need a dog one? She weighs about 8kg if that helps.
Sorry to sound so useless but I've never had a senile dog before, or indeed one with quite such a dodgy tummy!

It is the active ingredient, along with L carnitine, in the Hills B/D so the vets have already suggested it but do of course ask them.

Ok, great if you could let me know the sort of dosage I should be giving her I will give the vets a call and check with them. I just don't want to overwhelm her tummy with loads of new stuff but as you say feeding this alongside her normal food should be better than a change of food. :)
