Does anyone have any experience with hind gut ulcers that has been treated successfully? I am considering ordering some Egusin for him but does anyone have any success stories with anything else?
My boy has a lot of things going on, he's recovering from KS and has been diagnosed with Navicular and a grade 2 stomach ulcer. He has been treated with Ulcergold but I know you're unable to scope the hind gut. I thought I'd try and treat for them as I've not noticed many changes in him following the improvement in his stomach ulcers.
He is very spooky, nappy, tense and anxious when ridden, mainly when hacking. He is girthy, grumpy to groom and rug and very lazy off the leg. Due to his previous problems I know it could all be remembered pain and his behaviour now is very similar to that before his diagnosis. I'm also quite sure he has other things going on with his back end, maybe hocks or stifles.
However, I'd like to try and rule out hind gut ulcers if I'm able to.
He has ab lib hay, is turned out during the day, in at night and fed speedi beet, chaff and fibre nuggets. He is a dream to handle and be around. Any help much appreciated, thankyou
