hind leg lameness options what would you opt for

Had vet today and dont feel any the wiser.
Mare has hind limb lameness.Sound on flexation lame on lunge on hard surface. Vet suggests concussion ,deep bruising ,sprain, arthritic changes ,possible stifle problems.Has offered for her to go in for scans .No heat or soft tissue damage.Back is ok.
Its my call but have opted for 2 weeks rest restricted turnout and stabling overnight .Danilon for inflammation .
Would you do the same or go straight in for tests.

8 this year .She went unsound on hack thought she had stood on stone got off checked her feet remounted to come across main road and she appeared to be sound.Thought I was dealing with bruising initially.
 
i'd get the back person! pelvis/stifle checked. My old mare was an ex-racer and was run into by a loose horse and fractured her pelvis. she was fine for the first 2 yrs that i had her and one-day she came out of stable really lame and stiff in back legs. vet came couldn't put finger on problem and sugested back person. He treated it and she was fine and back been ridden 3 days later. just had her back checked every 6 months.
 
Poor thing, I've been keeping my fingers crossed. I think I'd probably go for some nerve blocks if I had insurance to at least try and pin point the problem area, however two weeks restricted turn out won't do her any harm and may do the trick. I tend to jump in all guns blazing these days!
 
My mare went lame last Thursday exactly as what you've got. Plenty of cold hosing (not the cop out ice packs & cold sponging), bute, restricted walking areas etc etc and a week off she'll be fine. It was a full moon last night and when I got to the yard every bloddy horse was charging around like a...mad thing. Your horse has slipped and done her back leg in, give it a week she'll be fine give it a couple of days and you'll notice the difference. Hope everything is well soon.
 
Oh no Cellie not more trouble. I would give her a couple of weeks and see, though as others have said, perhaps get back checked again (as you know am v nervous about back problems now).

Im going to ask farrier to look at her first he might find bruising she is due for new shoes on 9th. I asked friends farrier to have quick look and he feels that she has been shod unlevel.After problems we had with Ollie I feel rather unsettled.My farrier is lovely and the best qualified in area but vet mentioned about heels being too low this might not be helping if she has concussion.Oh what to do now!!!!!!
