Hind leg lameness

I have just fetched the horses in and Dora has come in lame. I know they have been pratting about in the field so I hope she has just twisted something but with how my luck goes it might be something more serious. She finds it hard to put the foot down properly. She is short in her stride when she stands she rests it. I have checked her foot and nothing there and no swelling on the leg.

I will see how she is tomorrow and if no better after having a walk I will call the vet. But in the mean time anyone got any ideas what she could have done?

Could it be an abcess? We have had a few come in at our yard with similar lameness and has turned out to be an abcess.

If she can't put any weight on the foot, TBH I'd get the vet out tonight..

Thank you both.
No heat in the foot so I don't think it is an abcess.

She can put her foot down and she isn't hopping lame just doesn't like putting the foot all the way down 80% of the time.

My friends horse had no heat either and didnt react to any poking either. Politiced it anyway and had burst out the heal the next morning
