ive been to see a 5yo for sale which was quite snatchy in the hand as it is having teeth coming through and when out hacking was dragging its hind toes. I thought it might be toe dragging because it wouldnt lighten in an outline and use its back, its quite tall behind as if its front end has some growing to do, Has anyone experience toe dragging in the hinds on youngsters and solved it through schooling?

im thinking its cause he is so bum high and hoping being 5 ish x hannovarian he will grow into it, he was broken last yr turned away and started again recently can anyone share experiences of horses of similar breeds growing into themselves from 5 ?
heres a photo if ive done it right!

I would be very suspicious.

A 5 year old I had that dragged it's toes especially downhill was diagnosed with Wobblers so you must get this checked out. Interestingly he'd also been turned away aswell before I bought him. Despite passing a 5 stage vetting he showed those symptoms almost immediately after I bought him - I thought is was lack of muscle tone but it took 6 months of work to fully manifest itself. He was PTS 2 years later.

He looks very weak to me and not too special in his conformation. Absolutely no offence to your judgement, but maybe look at a few more.

Dragging toes id get checked, my horse was diagnosed with spavins at 5
It showed as a " lazy action" he just didnt work as well as he had, trailing toes.
When nerve blocked out, he was so bi laterally lame it looked like a lazy action.
