Hi all, have just bought my first trailer an ifor williams 510 and looking at security. What model Bulldog/similar hitch lock does everyone use? So many different ones! Thank you!

I have had one of these for years. It's a nasty t***, and used to frquently take the skin off my knuckles or give me blood blisters, but i've got the hang of it now, mostly.

BUT it is well made, strong, and does it's job. I wouldn't trust anything else.

I had one of those too, and totally agree, they are bloomin finger trappers.
I did have a hitch lock but lost the key, can't remember the make of it

Just beware with any wheel clamp unless it covers the valve they can simply deflate the tyre, take it off and inflate again... Or use your spare ...

I have a SAS hitchlock and wheelclamp, they are really good. The hitchlock can be locked to either just the trailer or you can also put it on when the car is attached to the trailer to stop anyone stealing it at a show/competition/service station etc https://www.autoleisure.co.uk//sas-...sZHOmX4nLOSVm6uZ1qyZtZrOdnDM-GgMaAgmuEALw_wcB

The wheelclamp is also one which covers the.wheel nut which is what a lot of insurance companies specify you should use. X

.... and to add to this good advice, to also put the wheel clamp on one of the rear wheels. That way, they can't hitch up the trailer to raise the front wheels off the ground, which can happen if you put the wheel clamp on the front wheels. 🔐

I have the bulldog wheel and hitch lock. Check your insurance though (if insured) as some policies state certain brands in order for you to be covered. Yes, thieves can and do cut locks off or find ways to still steal them but atleast if your insurance is valid you will get paid out
